HIV/PrEP Services Pharmacist (Part Time)
The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services.

We are currently looking for qualified candidates for our PrEP/HIV Services Pharmacist role. Please note: this role requires an applicant to be bilingual (English/Spanish). This position reports to the Pharmacy Director and is a Regular, Part Time (20 hrs/week), Non-Exempt role with a hourly range of $62.99 to $71.08
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Supervise part time PrEP pharmacy tech as well as staff pharmacy technicians/clerks when on duty
Perform accurate prescription and product verification
Assist pharmacy staff with daily operations ie. Prescription processing, inventory ordering, clinic floor stock fulfillment, IT support troubleshooting
Assists PIC in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards
Support both HIV and PrEP clinic teams by dispensing HIV and PrEP medications in a timely manner
Serves as liaison between pharmacy and PrEP and HIV clinics
Improve patient access to care as well as encourage high levels of medication adherence of PrEP and HIV medications
Communicate with clinic teams about medication non-adherence, medication-related issues, new patient registration, and drug assistance programs
Proactively troubleshoots third party payment issues to avoid disruption to patients’ treatment
Leads courtesy refill reminder program by performing weekly Rx reviews of PrEP and HIV patients. Reviews include to ensure accurate contact information, insurance or payment assistance coverage, medication adherence and counseling as needed
Further develop, project-manage, and oversee HIV/PrEP pharmacy program with the clinic teams ie. Expanding inventory and services with Long-acting injectables (LAIs) like Cabenuva and Apretude, delivery services, and medi-sets
Review new antiretroviral drugs and any treatment guideline changes and provide drug education to care team when needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Pharmacist experience required
- Bilingual (English and Proficient Spanish)
- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree required
- Valid California Registered Pharmacist License required
- HIV/PrEP medication and billing knowledge/experience preferred
