Optometric Technician (bilingual)
The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services.

We are currently looking for qualified candidates for our Optometric Technician role. Please note: this role requires an applicant to be bilingual (English/Spanish). This position reports to the Director of Optometry and is a Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt role with a starting hourly rate range of $22.00 to $25.00 with full benefits.
Primary Objective:
As a technician you will play a key role in our office as you support our staff, ensure patient flow, and provide excellent care and service to our patients.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Performing in-office tests including automated lensometry, autorefraction, visual fields, fundus photos, OCT imaging
- Contact lens insertion and removal training
- Supporting front desk staff at times by answering telephone calls, patient check in, check out, appointment scheduling, administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)
- 1+ years of experience preferred but not required
- Able to multi-task with excellent organizational skills
